Volunteer

At Rio Vista Center we believe that power lies in volunteers.  Throughout the history of Rio Vista Center we have relied on the power of volunteers to meet the needs of those who need our help.  We have seen hundreds of volunteers not only come to change the lives of those who are in need of food, clothing or more, but we have also seen the volunteers lives changed also.  Have you given yourself to a cause greater than yourself?  At Rio Vista Center we want to give you that opportunity.

    Food Distribution

    Clothing Distribution
We offer opportunities Tuesday - Thursday mornings for you to sort and hang clothes for the families and individuals to shop through. The volunteer hours for this position are 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM.

    Group Opportunities
We offer opportunities on a scheduled basis for groups to come and help with our food and clothing distribution. These opportunities are best accomplished by coordinating them with either a food or clothing drive. You can either schedule your own drive or coordinate your group service opportunity with Rio Vista Center sponsored drive. The smaller groups, 6-12 people, tend to work better with these group opportunities.
