Turkey Day 2012

Last year, for the 8th year, Rio Partners made an impact in the lives of 100's of families! Now it is time to do it again!

Turkey Day aims to address hunger in our community during the holiday season. On November 17th, 2012, we will hand out frozen turkeys and holiday food bags to over 700 families to ensure they have the means to have a great Thanksgiving dinner.

There is no way it will be possible without you! Please look at the sign-up on the left to volunteer for the day, or make a donation of frozen turkey(s) or a financial donation!

Of those receiving Emergency Food in Arizona:

48% are children under age of 18.

49% of the households reported having someone in the household who was employed.

75% of the households had an income below the Federal Poverty Guideline.

50% of the people within the past year had to choose between buying food and paying utilities.

Rio Vista Center is always accepting food and clothing donations.
